Unfortunately we decided that we wanted to stick within standard, and Wolfen
was just too tall, and his eyes were too light to continue as our stud
prospect. He is living a wonderful life with a friend now, but we
wanted to leave his page up as he is so very special to us.
Wolfen has a fun begining. He was a singleton and we decided to get an
elective C Section with Piasa to help him arrive to the world. I have
a friend that breeds GSD who just had a large litter of 10 babies the day
before. She was kind enough to let me borrow three of the babies to
raise with Wolfen so he didn't have singleton issues. His registered
name "Guipago" was a Kiowa cheif which translates to "Lone Wolf" or "Alone
Among Wolves". We thought this was a fitting name as he was a
singleton raised amoung shepherds lol. His call name came about by
Kallie as she said she loved him and wanted to be able to howl with him like
a wolf, so Wolfen was her name she called him haha!
Wolfen is such a sweet goofy good boy. He and Kallie have been best
buddies since the whelping box. He loves to work, and has a real
exceptional natural tallent for herding. He will do anything for a
good game of ball, ball is life haha! He loves going for car rides,
and walking around town, he takes everything so well and adjusts to any
situation he is put into. He is a very big boy. A little taller than
we prefer for the standard, he is about 71cm tall and 120 lbs at 18 months.
Wolfen is very social and will come lean against you for pets and hope for a
game of ball haha!
